If You Previously Received a Notice Stating You Were Impacted by the Defendant’s Data Incident, You Are Eligible to Receive Payments and Medical Monitoring from a Class Action Settlement.
If you are received a Postcard Notice, you are eligible to receive a Cash Payment and Medical Monitoring from a proposed $1,350,285 class action Settlement (“Settlement Fund”). To be eligible to make a Claim, your information must have been impacted in the Data Incident perpetrated on Saint Anthony Hospital (“Defendant”), discovered in December 2023.
The Action arises out of Defendant detecting unusual activity in its computer systems and ultimately determining an unauthorized third party had accessed Defendant’s network and certain system files in December 2023 (“Data Incident”). Defendant’s investigation confirmed the Data Incident involved 360,220 individuals’ Private Information, including: Social Security Numbers, admission dates, billing/claims information, dates of birth, discharge dates, provider names, financial account information, health insurance information, medical information, medical record numbers, patient ID numbers, patient account numbers, treatment information, and names.
Defendants deny any wrongdoing and deny that they have any liability but have agreed to settle the Action on a class wide basis.
Settlement Class Members who submit Valid Claims will be eligible to receive:
- Cash Payment A – Cash Payment up to $5,000 for any documented loss as a result of the Data Incident;
OR
- Cash Payment B – flat Cash Payment in the amount of $100.
AND
- Medical Monitoring – each Settlement Class Member who submits a timely and Valid Claim may elect to receive two years of Medical Monitoring in addition to electing a Cash Payment.
